Hi, I’m Caren Ginsberg. I’m a mixed media artist.  Passionate about what I do, I’m obsessed with materials, and I thrive on controlled chaos mined from a deep inner treasury. I experiment with assertive mark making, liberated brush strokes and unexpected color and collage to interpret and express what I see . After studying a more technical, figurative style for years, I came to embrace a more intuitive approach. I’m always learning and am committed to enjoying the process, the journey and working intuitively.  My goal: to unearth  the uncensored self and exploit individuality.

My work represents my greatest passions for people, travel, and music and, after having studied in places as diverse as Boston to North Carolina, I’m able to bring what I think is a distinctive energy and passion to the canvas.  I strongly believe the creation of art is about the artist’s desire and abilities to express what the intersection of mark making, color, and texture provide; a sort of explosion of primal thought and movement.  I have been fortunate to have my work sold globally and I teach courses domestically, internationally and virtually through workshops and video series.

Experience has taught me that there is no limit to your creative expression and that technical guidance, and believing in the process will always move your learnings forward and support your desire to create, regardless of how you define that.
